Across Arkansas...temperatures are near 65 degrees north, near 73 degrees central, and near 73 degrees south. Current sky conditions are sunny north, sunny central, and sunny south. In the north, relative humidity is near 41%, and the dew point is near 41 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 36%, and the dew point is near 45 degrees. In the south, relative humidity is near 39%, and the dew point is near 47 degrees. Winds are calm north, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the east at 5 mph central, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the northeast at 5 mph south, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Above normal temperatures will return areawide on Wednesday and
continue well into the weekend. Temperatures in the 90s on
Thursday, along with an increase in south to southwesterly winds,
will lead to a limited threat for rapid fire spread across
northeast Oklahoma in the afternoon. Windy conditions both ahead
of and behind a dry cold front this weekend will also raise fire
weather concerns.

Early morning thunderstorms in Georgia produced three inches of rain at

Flooding due to thunderstorm rains in the southeastern U.S. on the last day
of September and the first day of October caused the Etowah River to rise
seven feet above flood stage at Canton GA. Thunderstorms produced up to ten
