Temperatures for the period averaged 70.4 degrees across the state which was 1.2 degrees warmer than normal . High temperatures averaged from 82.3 in the West to 79.5 in the East. Departure from normal high temperatures ranged from 0.1 degrees cooler than normal in the West to 0.9 degrees cooler than normal in the East. Low temperatures averaged from 74.7 degrees in the West to 58.2 degrees in the East. Departure from normal low temperature ranged from 15.1 degrees warmer than normal in the West to 2.9 degrees warmer than normal in the East. The extreme high temperature for the period was 112.5 at Jackson county and the extreme low was 24.4 at Harlan county.

Precipitation (liq. equ.) for the period totaled 28.59 inches statewide which was 3.69 inches above normal and 114.8% of normal. Precipitation totals by climate division, West 32.55 inches, Central 31.62 inches, Bluegrass 23.69 inches and East 26.48 inches, which was 7.46, 6.05, -0.22 and 1.45 inches respectively from normal. By station, precipitation totals ranged from a low of 18.90 inches at Lawrence county to a high of 38.06 inches at Grayson county. Dewpoint temperatures for the state averaged near 61.1 degrees.
