Temperatures for the period averaged 72.5 degrees across the state which was 0.4 degrees warmer than normal . High temperatures averaged from 85.7 in the West to 81.5 in the East. Departure from normal high temperatures ranged from 0.4 degrees warmer than normal in the West to 1.5 degrees cooler than normal in the East. Low temperatures averaged from 76.3 degrees in the West to 59.6 degrees in the East. Departure from normal low temperature ranged from 14.2 degrees warmer than normal in the West to 0.6 degrees warmer than normal in the East. The extreme high temperature for the period was 101.8 at Muhlenberg county and the extreme low was 35.6 at Meade county.

Precipitation (liq. equ.) for the period totaled 8.81 inches statewide which was 1.64 inches above normal and 122.9% of normal. Precipitation totals by climate division, West 8.35 inches, Central 8.41 inches, Bluegrass 8.81 inches and East 9.69 inches, which was 1.47, 0.9, 1.96 and 2.26 inches above normal. By station, precipitation totals ranged from a low of 4.86 inches at Clinton county to a high of 15.72 inches at Harlan county. Dewpoint temperatures for the state averaged near 62.6 degrees.
