At 310 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated scattered showers and 
thunderstorms over western Shasta County from Yolla Bolly to west of 
Sims and Castella. Scattered shower and thunderstorm activity is 
expected to continue until 6 pm or so over western Shasta County, 
mainly along and west of Interstate 5. Individual cells may affect 
Interstate 5 at times late this afternoon with brief, localized 
downpours and possibly small hail. Be aware of dangerous lighting 
strikes which can occur several miles away from a thunderstorm. 

Individual cells will be moving northeast at 20 mph, but the main 
activity may remain west of Interstate 5.

Pollard Flat, Whiskeytown, Ono, Vollmers, Lakehead, and Platina,
