At 646 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a line of showers and thunderstorms along a line extending from Florida City to 7 miles east of Fisher Island to 30 miles east of Sunny Isles Beach, moving northwest at 25 mph. Through the next few hours, this activity will move ashore in South Florida. Strong wind gusts, lightning, funnel clouds, and locally heavy rainfall, along with reduced visibilities, may accompany this activity. While highly uncertain, there could eventually be the possibility for 30 to 45 mph wind gusts with the stronger showers and thunderstorms and localized flooding to occur if the heavier showers and thunderstorms were to repeatedly move over the same locations for a couple of hours.
