.NOW...At 11 27 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated showers and a few
thunderstorms moving inland across the coastal parishes at 20 mph
in a northwest direction.

These showers and a few storms will produce locally heavy rainfall 
and occasional cloud to ground lightning through 1 PM. Up to one 
inch of rain may fall in persistent heavier bands. Drivers in 
should remain alert to sharply changing visibility and slick 
roads.
