...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 AM EDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Portions of East Central and North Central Maine, 
  including the following counties, in East Central Maine, 
  Penobscot. In North Central Maine, Piscataquis.

* WHEN...Until 1100 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Streams 
  continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. It 
  will take several hours for all the water from these storms to 
  work through local drainage systems in urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 941 AM EDT, Emergency management reported flooding in the
    warned area. Flooding is already occurring. Between 2.5 and 5
    inches of rain have fallen.
  - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
    expected.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Dover-Foxcroft, Greenville, Guilford, Howland, Brownville
    Junction, Milo, Monson, Blanchard, Elliottsville, Ebeemee,
    Kingsbury Plantation, Orneville, Lake View Plantation,
    Sangerville, Brownville, Parkman, Abbot, Lagrange, Sebec and
    Atkinson.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.
