...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 315 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of southeast Texas, including the following 
  county, Galveston.

* WHEN...Until 315 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of streets and other low-lying flood prone 
  locations is  occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 109 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
    indicated rain rates have significantly diminished. That
    said, several roads remain flooded in the area and will take
    time to recede. Between 3 and 6 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.1 to 0.3 inches are possible
    in the warned area.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Galveston Causeway, Galveston Island West End, Schlitterbahn,
    Moody Gardens, Offatts Bayou, Scholes Field, Galveston Island
    East End, The Strand, Galveston Pleasure Pier and Pelican
    Island.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.
